On the other hand, when you're the one scouting for poker games to play, what you should be looking for are poor players, steady opponents, rich individuals and persons who will never harm the game. You have to disguise your skills with the game, otherwise, you won't get anywhere.

Infiltrating the Poker Game

Now that you've been invited to play, it doesn't mean you have to stop searching for more. Increase your chances by getting invited again by making other players feel that they're favorable. Display thoughtful gestures such as: lending cash at the first opportunity, offering your cigars or candy to other players, helping out in picking cards after every game, praising winners and raising the morale of losers, complimenting good plays executed by opponents, offering to bring foods and refreshments, and helping clean out after every game. If you find the game financially worthwhile, you can become permanent by become an appealing player by avoiding being branded as someone tough and by keeping silent on your other poker activities. A word of advice though: do not push your edge odds to the maximum until you become the group's permanent player.

How to Quit the Game

If you find the game as something not financially viable to you, try to quit under the best possible situation and retain good relationship with the players there. Even after you quit, you still occasionally drop by for a visit to renew his contacts and possibly recruit players for higher stake games.
